One Direction's Louis Tomlinson is 'very happy' about the birth of his son

One Direction bandboy Louis Tomlinson has taken his life in a whole new direction: fatherhood.

 

The 24-year-old confirmed that he has become a dad for the first time after his friend Briana Jungwirth gave birth to the baby boy on Friday, January 22 in Los Angeles.

 

 

 

 

"I'm pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday," one quarter of One Direction wrote. "He is healthy and pretty amazing :) I'm very happy!!"

 

Tomlinson then followed up with two more tweets, writing "Daddy daddy cool," and another with a set of three smiley faces.

 

It has been reported that Tomlinson and Jungwirth, a 23-year-old stylist, have chosen an unusual name for their son.

"Louis and Briana are yet to file a birth certificate but they've agreed on the name Sydney Rain. It will be rubber-stamped in the next five days," a 'source' has told The Sun.

"It's not yet known whether the baby boy will take Briana's surname or Tomlinson."

 

Jungwirth and Tomlinson had a brief fling(정사, 내던지다) in May after Tomlinson split from his girlfriend of four years, Eleanor Calder. 

 

"Louis didn't expect this, but he's excited for it now," an insider told Us Magazine after the news became public in July. "He's become very close friends with Briana this year and now they are looking forward to being parents. He's definitely going to be there and be a great dad for their baby."

 

Tomlinson never confirmed the news in public, but was congratulated during an interview last year and replied: "Thank you, yeah, erm, obviously it's a very exciting time, so, err, I'm buzzing, thank you."

He is now dating Disney star and actress Danielle Campbell.
